Construction Project Coordinator
Accentuate Staffing has partnered with a well-established engineering consulting firm in Cary to identify a detail-oriented and highly organized Construction Project Coordinator to support construction operations across a variety of project types. This role works closely with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Contractors to support design reviews and construction observation efforts, ensuring projects are built in accordance with owner requirements and design intent. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within commercial buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Log, review, and track shop drawings and submittals; respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Conduct field inspections, take site photos, and prepare detailed field and observation reports.
- Coordinate construction activities with contractors, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal design staff.
- Participate in meetings, document discussions, and track follow-up actions.
- Support construction administration processes from pre-construction through closeout.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience with an Architectural, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) consulting firm.
- Knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems across market sectors such as Education, Healthcare, Municipal, Government, and Commercial.
- Proficiency with construction administration processes, including shop drawings, RFIs, change order proposals (COPs), and pay applications.
- Familiarity with all phases of construction, including pre-construction and project closeout.
- Experience with North Carolina State Construction Office construction phase requirements preferred.
- Experience with construction documentation software such as Procore or Newforma preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Valid driver’s license with the ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.
