Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Greensboro, NC 27401 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/14/2025 – End: 1/13/2026)
• Shift: Night Shift (3x12-hour shifts, 7:00pm – 7:00am)
• Total Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1730
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Floating: Required between all campuses as needed
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every 3rd weekend and holidays as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care rehabilitation nursing experience (no first-time travelers)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state, must be in hand at submission)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• EPIC electronic health record/charting experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Education verification through a third party required
• Background check with no open cases
• Willingness to float between campuses
• Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, medication reconciliation, and interpret laboratory results
• Manage wound care, perform dressing changes, and execute aseptic/sterile procedures
• Administer blood products, anti-seizure, and anti-coagulant medications
• Monitor vital signs, blood glucose, and provide diabetic education
• Care for patients with ventilators, ports, feeding tubes, and tracheostomies
• Utilize assistive devices, lift/transfer equipment, and specialty beds
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, safety, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy
• Float to other inpatient rehab units or campuses as needed
