ICS Qualified Professional/QP
Easterseals PORT Health, a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia is seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated fulltime Qualified Professional to lead a team of caregivers (internally called DSPs) supporting individuals living with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.
What You’ll Do
As a Qualified Professional (QP) on the Individual Community Support (ICS) team, you will provide supervision and oversight of services to individuals who have intellectual development disabilities (IDD). You will participate in the provision and development of structured care plans to individuals. Hiring, training and development, supervision and monitoring, compliance over staff and individuals served are essential components of this role. The QP ensures quality services that support individuals' health, safety, and welfare while collaborating with families and external entities. The Qualified Professional is accountable for adhering to policies, managing attendance, and completing required training.

Ideal Candidate Attributes
To join our team, you must have in-depth knowledge of different therapeutic approaches and group techniques as well as their practical application in a community setting, be able to work independently, be adept at problem solving and de-escalation in times of crisis.
- We also require proof of Bachelor’s Degree from an approved accredited institution with a psychology or social work focus
- You must meet the qualifications for a NC mental health qualified professional
- A valid driver's license, a good driving record and current auto insurance
