Pay: $17.00 – $19.00/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Process incoming invoices by verifying and reconciling documentation.

• Match and code invoices to appropriate accounts and cost centers.

• Reconcile processed transactions by reviewing entries and comparing system reports to balances.

• Monitor payment schedules, identify discount opportunities, and issue checks accordingly.

• Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payments.

• Manage and track credit memos and ensure credit is applied appropriately.

• Prepare and issue stop payments or amendments to purchase orders when necessary.

• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

• Maintain organized financial records and filing systems for historical reference.

• Ensure confidentiality and integrity of financial information.

• Stay current on accounting best practices by participating in relevant training or development opportunities.

• Contribute to overall accounting department goals by completing assigned tasks accurately and on time.
