As a full time employee, UNCW also offers a free membership to the Campus Recreation Center, free vaccine and booster shots offered on campus, meditation and yoga sessions, voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, pretax flexible spending accounts, 12 paid holidays, 24 hours of paid community service leave time, paid vacation and sick leave accrual and family medical leave after 12 months of continuous service. We also offer an abundance of training and development programs through our Dare to Learn Academy , and the employee assistance program , many of which are offered free of charge. Hiring Range $59,000 - $69,000 Working Title Faculty Compensation Consultant External Link to Posting Vacancy Number E1399 Position Number 8461 Location of Workplace Main UNCW Campus Home Department Human Resources - 35700 Division Chancellor - 25000 Division Brief Summary of Work for this Position The Faculty Compensation Consultant is a vital member of the HR team, serving as a collaborative business partner with campus clients and implementing best practices that are compliant and attentive to business needs and market competitiveness. The consultant partners at various levels across the university, as well as the UNC System Office, and the Office of State Human Resources. This position provides comprehensive guidance regarding regulations, policies, processes, and initiatives to ensure alignment with UNCW compensation programs, UNC System compensation policies, and state/federal guidelines. Key responsibilities include:- Faculty salary administration and consultation
- Compensation analysis and reporting
- System administration and data integrity
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or other closely related field.
- 2+ years of related Classification and Compensation experience (position classifications, position studies, organizational design, job design, client-facing consultation, statistical analyses, survey participation and analysis, reporting, annual increase process, project team, etc.).
- Classification and compensation experience at an institution of higher education.
- Experience and training within the UNC System and/or NC Office of State Human Resources Classification or Salary Administration policies and procedures.
- Compensation data analytics experience.
- Presentation and training experience.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook)
- Project management experience to lead the implementation of small to moderate scope projects.
- Data management skills including tracking, reporting, auditing.
- Experience with position management software (e.g., PeopleAdmin, PeopleSoft)
- Experience training groups and individuals both virtually and in person
- Certifications in Compensation and/or Human Resources - CCA, CCP, SCP/S-SCP, PHR/SPHR/SHRM.
