Responsibilities
- Conduct OT screenings, evaluations, and ongoing treatment planning for assigned patients within the corrections setting.
- Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve activities of daily living, motor function, cognition, and independence.
- Document patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record and communicate findings to the multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with OT supervisors, nursing, case management, and other staff to coordinate care and optimize safety and outcomes.
- Reassess goals regularly, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure compliance with facility policies and safety protocols.
- Maintain professional standards, adhere to infection control practices, and protect patient confidentiality.

Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential with license in North Carolina or eligibility per state regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a corrections environment and follow facility policies and procedures.
- Strong clinical documentation skills and proficiency with standard EMR systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with an interdisciplinary team.
- Availability for a 13-week assignment starting 06/01/2026 and the ability to cover the scheduled shift (08:00–16:30).
