Millwright

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical repairs and the ability to maintain and install various mechanical components. This role requires a keen understanding of mechanical systems, as well as the ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Make mechanical repairs using knowledge and experience of mechanical systems and practices.
• Adjust and maintain equipment as needed.
• Install and maintain mechanical power transmission equipment, bearings, pumps, packing, and mechanical seals.
• Learn and adhere to all safety precautions and procedures.
• Follow oral and written work instructions.
• Report any quality and potential production problems to management.
• Perform all related job duties and other responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or departmental managers.
• Distinguish between mechanical and electrical faults and perform necessary repairs.
• Fabricate and install new equipment, as well as overhaul existing equipment.
• Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and repairs.
• Interact regularly with management, peer maintenance, and facility personnel.

• Ability to use basic math skills.
• Understanding of basic maintenance and mechanical terms and definitions.
• Ability to acquire measurements for equipment fabrication.
• Capability to perform basic welding, cutting, and fabrication skills.
• Skill in identifying, selecting, and using proper tools for repair functions.
• Knowledge of proper lubricants for mechanical applications.
• Ability to read and understand information from charts, graphs, and manuals.

Work Environment

The work environment is very loud, noisy, and hot. The position requires working night shifts on a 223 schedule from 7pm to 7am.

This is a Contract position based out of Moncure, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.50 - $25.50/hr.
