How youll contribute

A House Supervisor who excels in this role:

  • Provides after-hours hospital leadership and serves as the primary resource and support for clinical staff.
  • Oversees patient flow bed placement and staffing needs to maintain safe and effective operations.
  • Assists in direct patient care as needed and ensures high-quality standards are met throughout the facility.
  • Supports departmental goals and ensures compliance with clinical administrative legal and ethical requirements.
  • Manages escalations safety concerns and service-level issues to promote a positive patient and staff experience.
  • Serves as the point of contact for administrators physicians and other departments when leadership is not onsite.
  • Accesses and reviews relevant patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Provides guidance mentorship and assistance with staff orientation and training.

What were looking for

  • Current RN license to practice in NC (NC or multistate compact license).
  • Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Previous leadership charge or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Recent acute care experience within the last 3 years preferred.

Additional requirements include:

  • Strong critical thinking and leadership skills.
  • The ability to make sound judgments independently.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment and respond appropriately.
  • BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
  • Handle With Care within 4 months of hire.
