Job Summary

The Production Planning Planner II supports and optimizes Supply Chain operations, including Planning/Scheduling, Procurement, Packaging/Warehousing, and Materials Controls. This role aims to maximize the utilization of equipment, materials, and manpower to deliver premium customer service. The position also involves participation in cross-functional projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency, supply chain operations, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analyze manufacturing and Supply Chain operations using strong system skills and business knowledge to identify improvement opportunities and lead related projects.
2. Develop reports and data analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Participate in new system implementation projects within the Supply Chain department.
4. Support packaging and warehouse operations, including process improvements in shipping, receiving, and storage optimization.
5. Create, modify, and support business reports and queries for Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functional teams.
6. Ensure safety compliance by maintaining a safe work environment and proactively reporting unsafe conditions.
7. Benchmark and analyze internal and external processes to maximize efficiency of functions and systems.

Required Qualifications

1. High School Diploma (minimum).
2. Proven analytical and project management skills.
3. Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
4. Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
5. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
6. Strong interpersonal skills to interact with various functions and organizational levels.
7. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Access.
9. Willingness to work 6 AM – 2 PM (hours may vary based on business needs).

Preferred Qualifications

1. 2-5 years of experience in supply chain roles.
2. Degree in Supply Chain Management or APICS certification preferred.
3. Training or certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
4. Understanding of cable products, materials, and manufacturing processes.
5. Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments.
7. Change champion with adaptability and flexibility.
8. Demonstrated commitment and drive.
