General Description

Responsible for administration and coordination of all recruiting efforts for all HS and Non-HS staff including job fairs, coordination of website postings and any other forms of recruitment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assists the Recruiting Manager in all recruitment efforts for all HS and Non-HS personnel through job fairs or other recruitment opportunities.

  1. Writes and places advertisements both internally and externally (internet, colleges, Applicant Tracking System), establish new and maintain existing resources for recruitment.

  1. Ensures that the Head Start Performance Standards are utilized to identify the requirements for staff education.

  1. Projects a professional image and facilitates effective communication between employees and management through both written and verbal platforms.

  1. Interpersonal and professional communication techniques and maintains new job postings, bulletin boards in an up-to-date and legally conforming manner

  1. Independently initiates recruitment efforts, including participation in Job Fairs and other local University career development opportunities; coordinate summer and fall placement and communications to HS/EHS staff members.

  1. Coordinates with Communications Director to develop advertisements both internally and externally (using the most current forms of technology on recruitment), establishing new and maintaining existing resources for recruitment and HR visibility.
  2. Completes initial qualification screening and interview potential candidates for referral to program supervisor for final interview, and all other required features of the recruitment process.
  1. Administers and monitors all pre-employment requirements, such as a state criminal record check (CRC), Qualifying Letter, reference checks, physical exams/TB, or any other requirements for applicants who meet the minimum qualifications for the position

  1. Provides input for and meets recruitment targets. Submits regular reports of target completion rates, recruiting life cycle, time to hire and closure updates.

  1. Participates in department meetings.

  1. Coordinates with the Talent Aquisition Partner to schedule and facilitate new hire orientation. Communicates the on-boarding details to new hires.

  1. Coordinates with IT for needed equipment.

  1. Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

  1. High School diploma or BS/BA degree in Human Resources or related field or 2 years’ experience in human service field.
  2. Knowledge of basic Human Resources functions and laws and experience in HR field
  3. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to work well with others.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint a plus.
  6. Availability of automobile during working hours and a valid driver's license.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, color, peripheral depth and the ability to adjust focus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
