Accounting Controller

Position Overview:

TRP Infrastructures is seeking an experienced Accounting Controller for our Clarksville location to oversee and manage our accounting department's day-to-day operations. This key leadership role will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and the implementation of accounting best practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the construction industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing financial teams.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Direct the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and preparation of financial statements.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers to track job costing, WIP reporting, and financial performance metrics.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance analysis.
• Lead, coach, and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and facilitate annual audits.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and participate in key financial decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in the construction or infrastructure industry is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite ) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
