Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Nursing Job in Asheville, NC

ER RN Travel Job Details
- Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
- Facility: Emergency Department – Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: September 8, 2025
- End Date: December 8, 2025
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1640 - $1680
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year as an ER RN
- Experience in a Level II trauma center or high-volume Emergency Department (100,000+ visits/year) preferred
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (must be current before start date)
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
- Ability to coach, mentor, and provide real-time feedback to colleagues
- Professionalism and dedication to delivering excellent patient care and experience
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations
- Manage patient ratios typically 4:1 (may vary for ED behavioral holds)
- Operate clinical equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors
- Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR
- Perform triage, cardiac monitoring, and internal patient processing
- Float to all sections within the Emergency Department as needed
- Adhere to AIDET communication standards and update patient boards throughout visits
- Comply with hospital policies and wear required navy scrubs
- Demonstrate respectful, professional behavior and contribute to a positive, multicultural healthcare team environment
