Renal Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Renal Medicine (A4E), 18-bed unit
• Employment Type: Locum tenens / Travel RN contract
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:45AM – 7:15PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend/Holiday: Rotating schedule
• Electronic Medical Record: Cerner EMR
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1770-$1820

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (Registered Nurse jobs in NC)
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (renal or telemetry nursing preferred)
• Ability to float to similar units or serve as a sitter as needed
• Strong clinical skills, flexibility, and compassionate patient care
• Preferred: BSN, Certified Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse, Cerner EMR experience

Renal RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to renal medicine patients in a fast-paced, 18-bed clinical unit
• Perform peritoneal dialysis, operate cyclers, and utilize mobilization equipment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including charge RNs, floor nurses, CNAs, and HUCs
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Cerner EMR
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines
• Float to similar nursing units or provide sitter coverage as required
