TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred, 3 years preferred License: Active nursing license required (NC or Compact license pending acceptable) Certifications: BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP Must-Have: Experience with more than 300 births per month. Experience in a fast-paced environment. Ability to circulate for C-sections. Competence in immediate newborn care and sterile vaginal exams. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in a cancellation and DNR. This is a difficult unit that operates at a fast pace. Double labor assignments are a daily occurrence on the unit. Minimum of 2 years of experience is required to feel comfortable working on this unit, though 3 years is preferred. The unit will accept first-time travelers with experience in high-volume settings. Local candidates are accepted. Nurses will float as needed within the women's unit. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Patient diagnoses include obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater, along with high-risk antepartum and postpartum care. The unit has an obstetrical triage area for patient screening and routine outpatient procedures. Scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births are performed on this unit. The unit is very fast-paced and may not be realistic for nurses to take short contracts due to high busyness. Strongly prefer RNs with experience circulating to the operating room. Nurses will be responsible for ratios of 2:1, with an average of 20 births in 24 hours and 30-40 admits. The unit utilizes PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR for its systems. This position requires RNs who are open to floating and are flexible with scheduling.
