Ops Integrator

The Ops Integrator at Torchlight is a vital mid-level consultant and a key interface between technical capabilities and operational mission requirements. This role serves as a bridge between complex technical systems and operational end users, ensuring that Torchlight’s capabilities are effectively leveraged in sensitive environments. The Ops Integrator collaborates closely with internal and client stakeholders in Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) and Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) to support mission objectives. This role requires a blend of operations, intelligence, and technical expertise to solve complex signature management challenges.

Note: This position requires a consistent on-site presence at the client location >2–3 days per week.

Responsibilities

The Ops Integrator will be deeply embedded in the client’s operational lifecycle, providing subject-matter expertise in Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance (UTS), Signature Management, and the application of Torchlight solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operational Integration & Planning:
  • Embed within Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) and Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) to provide real-time support and ensure mission requirements are met with technical precision.
  • Leverage a comprehensive understanding of UTS and Signature Management principles to advise on operational security and tradecraft.
  • Rapidly learn and apply new operational concepts and technologies to adapt to shifting mission priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Translation & Enablement:
  • Serve as a primary translator between technical engineering personnel and non-technical operational personnel, articulating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable operational language.
  • Provide expert guidance on the application of technical tools to support operational workflows, ensuring users understand the "how" and "why" behind technical data.
  • Identify gaps in current operational capabilities and collaborate with internal teams to engineer or configure solutions that close them.
• Client Engagement & Mission Support:
  • Maintain a consistent on-site presence (2–3 days per week) at the client location to build trust, facilitate immediate communication, and support classified workflows.
  • Operate as a highly motivated self-starter, proactively identifying opportunities to add value to the client’s mission without the need for constant supervision.
  • Demonstrate extraordinary intellectual capability by analyzing unique client challenges and devising creative, operationally sound solutions.

Qualifications Required:

• SOCOM Experience: At least eight (8) years of experience working for or with Special Operations units (e.g., USSOCOM, USASOC, AFSOC, JSOC) or associated agencies.
• Operational & Technical Fluency: A proven mid-level background (minimum) combining Operations, Intelligence, and Technical experience, with the ability to bridge the gap between these disciplines.
• Signature Management Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of UTS (User/Unit Technical Signature) and Signature Management principles, including digital tradecraft and operational security.
• Communication Skills: Superior ability to translate technical language and data flows to non-technical personnel and leadership, facilitating decision-making.
• Collaborative Planning: Demonstrated experience working effectively within Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) and Operational Planning Teams (OPTs).
• Intellectual Agility: A resourceful individual with the ability to rapidly learn new software, concepts, and procedures to solve unstructured problems.
• Clearance & Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance are strictly required.
• Location & Availability: Ability to work on-site at the client location 2–3 days per week on a consistently scheduled basis.

Qualifications Desired:

• Platform Proficiency: Familiarity with Torchlight’s product(s), or similar data analytics and API-driven intelligence platforms.
• Advanced Tradecraft: Specialized training or certification in digital signature reduction, open-source intelligence (OSINT), or cyber-enabled operations.
• Technical Scripting: Basic familiarity with scripting languages or data formats (e.g., Python, JSON) to assist in technical troubleshooting or requirements definition.
