Responsibilities & Expectations:

Southland Electrical Supply, an IPS Company, is seeking a dedicated Sales Counter Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and visitors, responsible for providing exceptional service and assistance. Your main duties include greeting customers and visitors, facilitating new orders and order pickups, assisting visitors with sign-in procedures, and promptly notifying the appropriate parties of visitor arrivals.

  • Welcome customers and visitors with professionalism and a friendly demeanor, making them feel valued and comfortable
  • Aid customers in placing new orders and ensure efficient order pickups, providing guidance and information as needed
  • Assist visitors with the sign-in process and promptly notify the relevant individuals or departments of their arrival
  • Communicate effectively with customers and visitors, actively listening to their needs and working to accommodate immediate requests and inquiries
  • Handle returns by creating the necessary paperwork, issuing refunds in accordance with the original payment method, and ensuring that all returned items are correctly categorized for testing, repairs, or return to inventory
  • Ability to source within the company information such as pricing, lead times, and delivery dates

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications
  • Be able to read, interpret, and modify documents
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an excellent driving record
  • Ability to pass TSC Electrical Training Classes completed within one (1) year of hire date (we will provide)
