Field Engineer (Highway Construction Project)

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services ( . We are currently looking for a Field Engineer to join our team for a Highway construction project in Charlotte, North Carolina .

-Project:   Highway construction project.

-Estimated duration of the position: +12 months - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.

-Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily construction activities on site for highway and linear infrastructure works .
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews.
• Monitor production rates, schedules, and construction progress.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Support cost control, quantities tracking, and progress reporting.
• Collaborate closely with project management, safety, and engineering teams.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company safety policies.
• Participate in planning meetings and coordination with stakeholders.

-Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 7-13 years of experience in civil construction projects.
• Strong background in highway projects (preferred), or other linear infrastructure such as rail, bridges, or utilities.
• Proven experience working on site and managing subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and production control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

-Working hours: Monday to Friday, 10 hrs (1 hour break)
