Accounting Manager POST NUMBER: 163838

We are recruiting an Accounting Manager for a company in the RTP area, this is a new role due to growth. You will lead day-to-day accounting operations and serve as a key partner to finance leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in general accounting, experience supporting inventory-driven operations, and the ability to thrive in an environment where priorities evolve alongside business growth. Responsibilities: Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Maintain the general ledger and oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and cash management. Support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and operational reporting activities. Assist with revenue recognition, contract review, and related accounting considerations. Partner with operations, sales, and leadership teams to improve financial visibility and reporting accuracy. Develop, document, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers. Maintain fixed asset records and support capital expenditure tracking. Prepare financial analyses and management reports to support business decision-making. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA is a plus 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles. Experience with both the execution of day-to-day accounting activities and the development of scalable processes and controls.
