Seeking a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (Echocardiographer) to perform diagnostic echocardiography and work closely with cardiologists to obtain high-quality cardiac images and provide patient-centered care. Position requires an Associate degree or accredited cardiovascular program graduate, RDCS or RCS credential (new grads have 6 months to pass registry), and preferably two years of echo experience. Full-time weekday schedule at a Heart and Vascular Institute emphasizing competency validation, age-specific patient care, communication with clinical teams, and adherence to patient safety principles.

Echocardiographer

The Echocardiographer works in concert with Cardiologist to obtain high quality images and provide exceptional patient care.

Schedule: 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday - Friday

Location: Heart and Vascular Institute - Mooresville

• Education: High School or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Certification Program in lieu of Associate Degree accepted, preferred. Graduate from a formal Cardiovascular Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, preferred.
• Experience: Two years of echocardiography experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Registered Cardiac Sonographer, credentials RDCS or RCS (New Graduate will have 6 months to pass registry) , required.
• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)’ age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient(s)’ requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Considerable verbal ability to effectively communicate observations and input to nursing staff, physicians, and other department staff.
