Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 – Explore North Carolina healthcare opportunities in a beautiful mountain setting.
• Unit: K9A - Oncology/Women's Surgical, 9th Floor
• Assignment Type: Travel RN position
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/17/2025 – End: 2/16/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1800
• Open Positions: 2
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend days per schedule

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience (Oncology RN experience preferred)
• Chemo Certification preferred
• Strong teamwork and willingness to learn

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to oncology and women's surgical patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Perform unit procedures, including pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis as needed
• Document care using Cerner EMR system
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Comply with hospital policies and RN dress code (navy, white, or combination)
• Float to other medical-surgical units as needed (rarely required)
