Overview
We are seeking a talented finance professional who views accounting as a strategic function—one that not only ensures accuracy but also drives business insight and operational improvement. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, ethically grounded, and eager to contribute to both day-to-day operations and long-term initiatives.
This position supports the monthly financial close process, prepares journal entries and reconciliations, and contributes to internal and external audit readiness. It also plays a key role in process improvement, documentation, and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Support internal and external audits, including SOX testing procedures
- Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls and remediation plans
- Collaborate with other departments to update process documentation and ensure compliance with accounting policies
- Identify opportunities to improve financial performance through cost reduction and cash flow optimization
- Contribute to the monthly close process: journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and forecasting
- Maintain general ledger and financial reports for complex accounts
- Prepare monthly financial submissions in consolidation systems
- Support balance sheet initiatives, including account reconciliation reviews
- Mentor junior and mid-level accountants
- Apply ASC 606 for deferred revenue recognition
- Participate in ad-hoc financial projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or CPA-eligible
- 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of balance sheet and P&L relationships, with a focus on compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks
- Experience with ERP and consolidation/reporting systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, manage projects, and work collaboratively
- Demonstrated leadership potential and a desire for career growth
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Commitment to process improvement and ownership of responsibilities
- Ability to solve practical problems in dynamic environments
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma (DMAIC) principles
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
