This person is required to lead by example and uphold all policies and procedures. Each team member is responsible for overseeing the daily function and flow of the hospital as it pertains to their department. Attention to detail, a welcoming smile, being neat and organized, able to be cool in emergencies and showing your empathy are all key elements of success.

Steele Creek Animal Hospital also has a top-tier pet rehabilitation facility where pets receive expert care in a soothing environment. Each pet gets a personalized recovery plan. Treatments include water treadmills, laser therapy, acupuncture and more, all designed for comfort and healing. The facility’s calming atmosphere ensures pets feel at ease as they recover, helping them return to their active selves quickly.

Duties:

• Our LVT’s take the lead in the exam room by taking history and assisting the veterinarian.
• They are responsible for presenting treatment plans and educating clients on follow-up care and medication administration.
• You will assist in surgery, perform in-house lab testing and prep samples for outside testing, perform dental cleanings, care for hospitalized patients and perform their treatments.

Our team members are all cross-trained so all have the ability to lend a hand in every area of the practice if needed. If you are interested in working with animals participating in rehab we are happy to train these skills. We have a large rehab facility with two underwater treadmills, therapy tools like cold laser, thermography, acupuncture, holistic medications and many other therapies to help our patients recover from surgery or just feel better due to changes from aging or injury. Many hospitals in the Charlotte area send us referrals.

Our management team is kind, hardworking and right by your side to help you grow. We hold monthly staff meetings to keep everyone up to date and to solicit ideas from our team on how we can consistently improve our practice. Great communication skills are a must. Applicant must be able to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and some holidays and have reliable transportation.

Steele Creek Animal Hospital opened in 1985 and has experienced steady growth with our happy clients telling their friends and family about our services. We are located in Charlotte NC a few miles from Lake Wylie on SouthTryon St. This is a privately owned practice.

• Must be able to properly lift 40 pounds when necessary.
• Standing for periods of time.
• Filing.
• Assisting pet owners.
