Contracts Coordinator

    • The Recruitment Range for This Position is $50,633 - $56,723*

    The primary responsibility of the Contracts Coordinator is to organize and manage the development of contracts for the Injury and Violence Prevention Branch. This includes: establishing and managing contract development in accordance with the DPH Contracts Unit guidelines; coordinating with the Division Contracts Unit to establish and manage the timeline for the development and execution of each contract; coordinating with subject matter experts both within the IVPB and key external partners on the development of the contract; drafting contract language and entering it into the DPH Contracts system, Open Windows; coordinating with contractors on budget and scope of work development, and the Branch Operations Manager on budget development and review, and monitoring contract execution and invoicing processes; and supporting the individual Contract Administrators to keep in compliance with contract monitoring requirements.

    For more information about DHHS: Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following:

    • Demonstrated proficiency using NCDHHS Open Windows for contract development.Â
    • Working knowledge of general public health efforts in the injury and violence prevention field.Â
    • Experienced to manage development of contracts including the creation and modification of a Scope of Work that matches project requirements and grant funder parameters, budgets and their justification, and clear performance measures for tracking and monitoring contract deliverables.Â
    • Experienced in organizational and time management to coordinate among multiple types of staff members from Operations to Programs to Contracts.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

    Bachelor s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in the program related to the area of assignment;Â

    An equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Applicants seeking National Guard Preference must attach a NGB 23A (RPAS) if they are a current member of the NC National Guard in good standing. Â If a former member of the NC National Guard, who served for at least 6 years and was discharged under honorable conditions, they must attach either a DD256 or NGB 22.
    • If applicants earned college credit hours but did not complete a degree program, they must attach an unofficial transcript to each application to receive credit for this education.
