Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Branch Manager - Operations to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an experienced leader with a passion for logistics and global commerce.

Responsibilities:

• Establish, oversee and continuously improve the branch operation process flows in conformance with applicable rules, procedures and company policy.
• Develop branch procedures, ensuring efficiency of daily operations.
• Coordinate with various departments within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely fashion.
• Supervise the related shipment based accounting functions, vendor payables, revenue generation, case reports, and shipment activity reports.
• Overview and manage the P & L on a daily basis.
• Work with the sales department to develop customer-specific handling procedures for all customers but especially with the on boarding of new customers.
• Work closely with Sales VP and Operations VP to create regional/area strategy for Key Account identification.
• Identify key projects and opportunities in the region/area from key accounts and work with Sales VP to pursue and close.
• Recruit, select, and onboard qualified and diverse talent.
• Develop, maintain, and leverage internal relationships with peers that reinforces a culture of one team and enables the execution of high-quality service, ethical issue resolution, and process or service improvements. Share observations, feedback, and ideas to leadership team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Logistics, or a related field preferred but will consider experience as equivalent.
• Experience in Operations with freight forwarder/NVOCC
• Proven experience in management preferably in a global context managing Ocean, Air and OTR movements.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations and global logistics trends.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-driven, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus.
