Primary Purpose:

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving year-over-year volume and sales growth for Bulk Chemical & Services (BCS) products. This role leads the Bulk Chemical Distribution (BCD) sales strategy across targeted products and markets to profitably grow an assigned territory or customer portfolio. A key focus is developing new customer relationships while expanding business with existing accounts.

What You'll Do:

• Manage an assigned territory and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including the Sales Director, Product Management, Vertical teams, and Shared Services (Customer Service/Operations) to support and fulfill customer needs effectively.
• Develop and strengthen customer relationships by building multiple points of contact across various management levels and functional groups.
• Ensure prospective and existing customers are appropriately qualified, including assessments of safety performance, environmental compliance, and financial stability.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to ensure new business growth consistently exceeds customer attrition and territory objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and report on all Bulk Chemical Distribution (BCD) product opportunities within the territory.
• Own and achieve annual sales and volume targets for the assigned market.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
• Strong knowledge of the chemical distribution industry preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of sales or marketing experience, preferably within commodity chemicals.
• Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving business objectives.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.

This is a home-based position for candidates located in the Charlotte, NC or Morrisville, PA area, with regular travel expected.
