Industrial Electrician - Field Projects (North America)

  • 3+ years of experience in a commercial or industrial setting to execute electrical projects across the U.S. and Canada is a requirement
  • This role requires travel (50%-75%) to on-site projects across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico
  • Pay is $35 - $40 per hour
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder

This full-time, permanent career opportunity for an experienced Industrial Electrician - North American Projects is at a financially sound, debt-free manufacturer of industrial equipment. The company services and rebuilds a variety of machine tools throughout North America and South America. Building on a successful history of more than three decades, this company demonstrates its commitment to its employees and quality of work through a significant investment in a new facility and modern, advanced equipment. This smaller company is very stable and has never experienced an economic layoff. Employees love working here and typically stay until retirement as they are treated so well. Management values the employees and their opinions. Employees are not micromanaged and are trusted to make decisions in the field. There is a lot of variety and learning. Employees have the ability to move to other parts of the company if that is of interest. All fabrication is done in-house.

The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:

  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, controls, and equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues by interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to diagnose and determine proper solutions
  • Perform on-site maintenance and system startups for new equipment
  • Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), safety protocols, and company procedures
  • Collaborate with other trades and provide exceptional customer service

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the electrical trade, with a focus on industrial or commercial projects
  • Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team on a variety of tasks
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and using electrical diagnostic tools
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel 50-75% of the time, with a valid passport for international travel
  • Must have a clean criminal background due to customer safety policies
  • A solid work history
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
