Piney Grove Baptist Church is seeking a full-time, ordained man of God to fill the position of Senior Pastor. He must have at least 5 years of pastoral experience and a degree from a Southern Baptist Seminary or Southern Baptist Affiliated institution. He must also approve The Baptist Faith and Message 2000, as well as the qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7. His preaching style must be expository.
Candidates should submit a cover letter, résumé containing a minimum of three ministerial references, a link to recent sermons, and a completed PGCB application survey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Expository Preaching and Teaching: Deliver biblically sound, gospel-centered sermons and teaching that inspire, equip, and challenge the congregation to grow in their faith and apply the gospel to everyday life.
• Pastoral Care: Provide compassionate shepherding, counseling, and support to church members, fostering a loving community that reflects the transformative power of the gospel.
• Leadership: Collaborate with church leadership and volunteers to develop and implement strategies that align with our mission of spreading the gospel, building a Christ-centered community, and missional outreach.
• Discipleship: Guide and equip believers to deepen their relationship with Christ, encouraging spiritual growth and maturity through teaching, mentorship, and personal engagement.
• Mission Focus: Champion missional living by leading the church in local and global missional efforts, inspiring members to serve and share the gospel in all areas of life.
