Candidates should expect to work onsite in Charlotte (or potentially Greensboro, Greenville, or Cary) approximately two days per week.
Here’s what you’ll do
- Manage and support the planning and design of water and wastewater facilities, addressing challenges such as emerging contaminants and nutrient removal.
- Oversee diverse projects in water treatment, wastewater treatment, conveyance, and modeling.
- Serve as a primary client interface, leading workshops, facilitating discussions, and maintaining strong relationships to ensure expectations are met and exceeded.
- Drive project coordination across disciplines and uphold quality standards throughout all design phases.
- Mentor engineers and designers, fostering technical growth and collaborative team culture.
- Contribute to technical strategies and design planning for project pursuits, leveraging client insights to shape innovative solutions.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 7+ years of experience in detailed design of water/wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and conveyance systems.
- Proven ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Experience in construction and startup of water/wastewater treatment facilities.
- Design experience with advanced wastewater processes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in distributed team environments.
