Childcare center cook

We are seeking a cook to join our family! This individual will assist in the day-to-day activity of the center

Responsibilities: Admin1234

• To prepare the food served to the children
• To understand general nutrition requirements
• To have a working knowledge of meal patterns required in N.C. Child Care Programs
• To follow weekly menus which meet the FDA requirements and to record substitutions
• To wash dishes and utensils used in the preparation of foods
• To clean refrigerator, freezer, cabinets, and stove periodically
• To arrange with the director to order or purchase weekly food items
• To arrange with the director to order or purchase bulk items and paper goods
• To understand and maintain the environmental health sanitation requirements
• Any other duties as may be assigned for the smooth operation of the center
• Complete simple daily cleaning duties
• Maintain all required certifications discussed at hire.

Qualifications:

*Must be punctual

*Have a current childcare qualification letter or the ability to complete one immediately

*Have a current TB skin test or the ability to complete one immediately

*High school diploma required

*Positive and patient demeanor

*Excellent verbal communication skills.

*Great organizational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $8.75 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
