Production Associate - Fiberglass Winding

The Fiberglass Winder reports to the Production Supervisor. This position focuses on winding fiberglass components correctly and efficiently. Duties and Essential Job Functions:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Follow Work Orders.
• Wind fiberglass components (standard USTS and USTS Bucket) according to approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Perform light assembly tasks.
• Wind Take Apart Fiberglass Sections according to approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Operate the fiberglass slitter according to approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare fiberglass packets at the cutting station according to approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Responsible for meeting or exceeding all established quality standards.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Operates machines of limited complexity to perform fiberglass winding.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• High school degree or GED equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements: * Production environment: dust and grease are common. Significant risks from equipment and environment require constant care and vigilance. Be able to stand for long periods of time and carry up to 30+ lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and hand tools to assemble parts and to reach with hands and arms.
