Payroll Specialist

Position: Payroll Specialist

SupportEd LLC is a leading education consulting company that provides support and resources to schools and districts across the country. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team on a Contract basis.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing payroll for our employees. You will work closely with our HR department and other team members to ensure timely and accurate payment of wages, taxes, and benefits. Your attention to detail and strong understanding of payroll processes will be crucial in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

- Review and verify timesheets, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

- Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and other withholdings

- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies

- Maintain accurate employee records, including salary changes, tax status, and benefits information

- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits

- Collaborate with HR to ensure compliance with state and federal payroll laws and regulations

- Assist in the preparation of payroll-related reports and data for management and external auditors

- Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes to increase efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing

- Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations

- Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Excel

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- High level of confidentiality and integrity
