We are a rapidly growing coffee and equipment company in need of passionate energetic individuals to join our team in two different positions: On the Road Technician and In-Shop Technician. Both positions require candidates who love tinkering, solving problems, and working closely with other members of the technical team. A love of coffee is a bonus!
On the Road Technician Responsibilities:
- Repairing and maintaining espresso machines and other restaurant equipment.
- Traveling to local coffee shops and restaurants to install, repair, and maintain equipment.
- Providing exceptional customer service and technical support on-site.
- Regularly researching and learning designs, functions, techniques, and repair methodologies.
- Conducting routine inventory checks for parts and tools.
- Collaborating with other departments as needed.
- Clean driving record required.
- Travel is local; every morning starts in the office, and you are back by the end of the day.
In-Shop Technician Responsibilities:
- Repairing and maintaining espresso machines and other restaurant equipment in our in-house tech department.
- Performing thorough diagnostics, repairs, and quality checks.
- Assisting with equipment installations and testing.
- Conducting routine inventory checks for parts and tools.
- Collaborating with other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Willing to learn.
- Hard work ethic with a don’t-give-up attitude.
- EPA Type 1 Certification Preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude: able to disassemble and reassemble equipment without reference, understanding how to put it back together.
- Familiarity with hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand basic schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Proficient use of a digital multimeter to take voltage, continuity, resistance, capacitor testing, and current measurements with a clamp meter.
- Basic understanding of solenoid valves, relays, contactors, thermostats, and pressure switches.
- General understanding of basic plumbing practices.
- Familiarity with common plumbing fittings.
- Strong critical thinking and diagnostic skills.
