Feedmill Maintenance Tech

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for Pilgrim’s that is responsible for maximizing and maintaining department machine performance to support production needs.
This role is located at our Feedmill in Wingate, NC
Resume is required for this position.
Responsibilities:
• Perform mechanical skills, including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Perform tasks as assigned by the feed mill manager or maintenance supervisor
• Consistently utilize safety practices, including applying housekeeping practices to tools, equipment, and facility
• Completes preventive maintenance documentation
What You’ll Need:
• Preference given to those with demonstrated mechanical and electrical skills
• Specific experience needed
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English.
• Demonstrated ability to do basic math skills including Addition, Subtraction, division and multiplication and percentage calculations including the ability to pass a Prove it Test.
• Lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally. Lots of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crawling or crouching, reaching with hands and arms and smelling.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as weekends.
