Maintenance Supervisor - 1422
About the Company:
Our client is a Christian faith-based textile manufacturing organization producing high-quality woven products. With a long-standing commitment to excellence, integrity, and people development, the company is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead all aspects of plant operations and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing, maintenance, and operational performance. The plant is located 30 miles north of Durham. The company’s primary business is the manufacturing of high pile woven fabric for specialty markets such as paint rollers, high-end automobile components, inflatable boats hulls, snow ski skins, and others.
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and improve all aspects of facility, equipment, and systems maintenance. This role is critical to ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage all maintenance operations for the facility, production equipment, and supporting systems.
· Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
· Conduct routine inspections to identify safety issues, equipment failures, or facility needs, ensuring timely resolution.
· Monitor and maintain building systems.
· Plan, schedule, and oversee repair, installation, and upgrade projects.
· Assign tasks, coordinate daily work, and supervise maintenance staff and contracted service providers.
· Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment history records.
· Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; ensure timely ordering and cost control.
· Track maintenance expenses and operate within an approved budget.
· Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
· Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, contractors, and service technicians.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or in a similar maintenance leadership role.
· Strong background in planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance operations.
· Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems; experience with machining or fabrication equipment is a plus.
· Working knowledge of facility systems, production machinery, and maintenance tools.
· Ability to track, document, and report maintenance activities clearly and accurately.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-leadership skills.
· Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
