Psychiatric RN Job Details

• Location: Fayetteville, NC 28304 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility Type: Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center / Teaching Hospital
• Unit: Behavioral Health (2 NORTH - MS/Tele)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing (Locum Tenens RN)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after facility call-off policy is met
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1720

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs and between similar units
• Must pass an advanced EKG exam as part of compliance
• Locals not accepted within 50 miles of facility
• First-time travel nurses welcome

Behavioral Health RN Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health nursing care to patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and document care using EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
• Float to similar units as needed to support hospital staffing requirements
• Participate in ongoing professional development and hospital orientation modules
