Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success.
• Conduct assessments and track progress to adjust instruction based on student needs.
• Provide orientation and mobility training to improve independence.
• Participate in professional development and team meetings.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification or licensure in teaching students with visual impairments.
• Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments.
• Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive tools related to visual impairment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to develop individualized instructional materials.
