CNC Turret Punch Operator
Accentuate Staffing is assisting a well-established manufacturing company in the Raleigh area with their search for a CNC Turret Punch Operator. This is a contract-hire role working Monday through Thursday 3pm-1am.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate an Amada EMK CNC Turret Punch Press to produce precision sheet metal parts
- Review work orders and technical drawings to determine proper tooling and setup requirements
- Select, inspect, and install punches and dies to ensure proper condition and performance
- Load and verify CNC programs prior to running production
- Run first-piece parts for quality approval and make adjustments as needed
- Monitor production runs and perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools
- Record inspection results and complete required production documentation
- Perform secondary tasks such as deburring and part finishing as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Hands-on experience setting up and operating an Amada turret punch press (EMK experience preferred)
- Familiarity with CNC programming is a plus
- Strong ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints
- In-depth knowledge of turret punch tooling and setup procedures
- Comfortable performing basic math calculations and measurements
- Proficient with calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other inspection tools
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a typical industrial shop environment
