Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment in a high-speed environment. Experience with bottling, canning, capping, or filler equipment is a valuable advantage. Candidates should possess mechanical experience with conveyors, pneumatic troubleshooting, and the ability to replace and repair motors and gears. Electrical experience with sensors, proximity switches, and relays is required due to the sensitivity and speed of the equipment. While PLC experience is not necessary, welding and fabrication skills, particularly TIG and Stick welding with stainless steel, are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance mechanic duties to ensure the efficient operation of production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with conveyors and pneumatic systems.
• Replace and repair motors and gears as needed.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting with sensors, proximity switches, and relays.
• Utilize welding skills, including TIG and Stick welding, for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Implement preventive maintenance practices to minimize equipment downtime.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical experience with industrial machinery.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills, particularly with AC electrical controls.
• Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting.
• Experience with advanced conveyors and palletizers.
• Knowledge of arc and TIG welding practices and metal cutting fundamentals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in automotive, industrial, or aircraft maintenance.
• Familiarity with gears, bearings, and motors troubleshooting.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Charlotte,NC.
