We areseekinga dynamic, mission-driven Executive Directortooversee the day-to-day operations ofour Winston-Salem facilityensuring clinical excellence and client-centered care. TheExecutive Directorserves as a key leader in fostering a culture ofexcellence,qualityand continuous improvement within the organization,supporting ourmission to provide compassionate, evidence-basedmental health and substance use disorder treatment.
You will be responsible forensuring successful business outcomes throughdelivery of quality care, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability,community partnerships,and team development while aligning performance with organizational goals. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with deep behavioral healthexpertiseand a commitment tocompassionate, quality care.
Your ability to promote communication and collaboration,and toestablishand maintain effective working relationships withcommunity stakeholders,andfamilies will be key to your success. You willmonitorindustry trends and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) adjusting operations accordingly to meet organizationalobjectivesand evolving community and client needs.
This is a full-time role, Monday throughFriday, withoccasionalevening andweekend coverage.Some local/regional travel may berequired.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic& OperationalLeadership
- Provide overall leadership and direction for daily operations of theoutpatient program.
- Execute strategic growth plans aligned with revenue, census, and market expansion goals.
- Establish performance metrics and ensure accountability across departments.
- Foster a culture of integrity, compassion, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Clinical& Regulatory Oversight
- Partner closely with the Chief Operations Officer (COO)to support clinical outcomes and program developmentensuring high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including licensing and accreditation requirements (e.g., Joint Commission).
- Oversee risk management and quality assuranceefforts.
People Management
- Recruit, develop, andretainhigh-performing leaders and staff.
- Provide clear direction, performance management, and succession planning.
- Promote employee engagement, accountability, and ethical decision-making.
- Monitor operational expenses and staffing modelsto meet clinical and operational needswhile ensuring sustainability.
Community Engagement& Marketing
- Meet community needsthrough referral relationships and community partnerships.
- Collaborate with marketing and admissions teams tooptimizeaccess to servicesandclientexperience.
- Represent the organization in community and professional settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degreerequired;Master's degree inHealthcareAdministration,Business,orBehavioralHealth -related fieldfrom an accredited institutionpreferred.
- Appropriate clinicallicensure, if applicable;dual licensure or certification insubstanceusedisorder (SUD) treatment preferred.
- Minimum 57 years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or healthcare operations.
- Proventrack recordofprogramgrowth and/or operational scaling preferred.
- Strong knowledge of substanceusedisorder(SUD)and mental health treatment models.
- Experience with licensing, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills,
- First Aid/ CPRCertification.
- CrisisInterventionCertification.
