Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Master Collision Repair Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for a top-level body technician who takes pride in producing high-quality repairs, works efficiently, and consistently meets OEM and industry standards. The Master Collision Repair Technician will perform advanced collision repairs, structural work, and refinishing prep while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced collision repairs including structural, body, and panel repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
Diagnose damage and develop repair plans based on estimates and OEM repair procedures.
Complete repairs involving unibody/frame work, panel replacement, sectioning, welding, and metal finishing.
Use frame machines, measuring systems, and other shop equipment to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.
Perform high-level body filler work, sanding, shaping, and refinishing preparation to meet paint-ready standards.
Ensure all repairs meet quality, safety, and manufacturer requirements.
Communicate with estimators, painters, parts personnel, and management regarding repair progress and additional damage.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and shop safety guidelines.
Mentor and support junior technicians as needed to improve overall shop performance and quality.
Document repair processes and follow all shop procedures for work orders, repair notes, and quality checks.
Qualifications & Requirements
5+ years of professional collision repair experience required; master-level skill preferred.
Strong knowledge of structural repair, unibody repair, and advanced bodywork techniques.
Ability to read and interpret repair estimates, blueprints, and OEM repair procedures.
Proficiency in MIG welding; aluminum welding experience is a plus.
Experience using frame racks, measuring systems, and repair tools (Car-O-Liner, Chief, or similar).
Ability to repair vehicles to OEM specifications with a high level of precision and quality.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing clean, consistent work.
Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must have own tools appropriate for a master-level technician.
Ability to pass a background check and/or drug screening if required.
Preferred Qualifications
I-CAR Platinum Certification or equivalent training
ASE Certifications (B2, B3, etc.)
Experience working with ADAS components, sensors, and calibrations
Experience repairing aluminum and high-strength steel vehicles
OEM certifications (Ford, GM, Honda, Tesla, etc.)
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical work including bending, kneeling, lifting, and working overhead.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to safely use shop equipment and tools in a fast-paced environment.
