Restaurant Bartender
As a Food and Beverage Bartender, you will fill a guest services role in supporting Pro’s financial goals for the daily operation of the restaurant and bar. You will ensure the highest quality of product and service standards to ensure guest satisfaction by providing prompt and courteous food and beverage service.
Bartenders have a vast knowledge of our wines, craft cocktails, and craft beers, and maintain high standards when creating beverages. In addition, Bartenders have full knowledge of our food menus, ingredients, and cooking techniques to assist customers in dining at the bar.
Duties and Expectations:
- Work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, guest-centric environment to provide an Exceptionally Distinctive Guest Experience by demonstrating genuine hospitality and delivering exceptional guest services in the bar area.
- Bartenders prepare the bar for service and follow strict responsible vending protocols.
- Performs opening, running, and closing side work.
- Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and dining room guests while adhering to all specifications, recipes, and procedures.
- Greets all bar guests immediately, makes beverage suggestions, and answers questions regarding food and beverage service.
- Takes, records, and rings all food and beverage items ordered by bar guests. Prepares beverages for the service staff only upon receipt of a computer beverage ticket.
- Observe bar guests to ensure that guests are satisfied with food, beverages, and service; immediately recognize and respond to any guest’s needs and/or requests.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the bar counter, back bar, bar work areas, shelving, and storage areas up to restaurant standards.
- Adheres to and complies with all state/local liquor laws and restaurant policies regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
- Monitors guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease; notifies management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of customers.
- Close and clean the bar area properly at the end of the shift and stock as needed.
- Orders, requisitions, and stocks all liquor, beverages, and other bar supplies according to procedures established in the restaurant.
- Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures\Assists other Team Members as needed.
- Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dres,s and hygiene.
Skills:
- Proven work experience as a professional restaurant staff member.
- Excellent knowledge of serving drinks, upscale foods, extensive wine selection, and professional hospitality.
- Computer literacy.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to keep the restaurant organized, stocked, and clean.
- Relevant training certificate.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of Restaurant Bartender experience or an accredited certification as a Professional Bartender with specialized knowledge of classic and popular mixology selections.
- Stands/walks up to 8 hours per shift.
- Reaches, lifts, and bends frequently.
- Able to deliver plates, food & clear bars, which may require lifting as much as 40lbs.
- Able to change kegs.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to verbalize and clearly respond to guests.
