Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is partnering with a leading national pharmaceutical organization to find an experienced and compassionate **Pharmacist** dedicated to improving patient outcomes and delivering exceptional care.
**Location:** Cary, NC
**Pay Rate:** $60/hr.
**Schedule:** Monday-Friday, 9 AM-6 PM EST
**Work Type** : Onsite for first month of training Hybrid once metrics are met
**Requirement:** Must live within 1 hour of the Cary office
**Mandatory Requirements**
- Active Pharmacist license in North Carolina (in good standing)
- At least 3 years of direct patient counseling experience
- Must be comfortable on the phone 8 hours a day
- Must live within reasonable commuting distance
**Position Purpose**
The Clinical Pharmacist provides clinical oversight, patient counseling, and safe, compliant pharmacy operations. You will directly impact patient care through education, medication review, and collaboration with healthcare partners.
**Key Responsibilities**
**_Clinical Duties_**
- Conduct comprehensive pharmacotherapy reviews
- Counsel patients on new therapies and treatment plans
- Document clinical assessments to support nursing follow-up
- Complete REMS training and follow SOPs
- Coordinate care with clinicians and support personalized services
- Serve as a liaison between patients, caregivers, nurses, and prescribers
- Provide subcutaneous injection education
- Process prescriptions accurately and in compliance with all regulations
- Manage patient intake, profile updates, therapy discontinuations
- Support patient safety through adverse event and quality complaint reporting
**_Operational Duties_**
- Dispense medications per state, federal, and pharmacy laws
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support aseptic techniques
- Verify prescription accuracy and adjudicate claims
- Maintain compliance with controlled substance handling
- Oversee hazardous waste management within the pharmacy
- Deliver "outrageous customer service" to all stakeholders

- Remain current with pharmacy quality and compliance standards
**Qualifications**
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy
- 3-5+ years clinical pharmacy and patient care experience
- North Carolina pharmacist license in good standing
- BCOP certified OR willing to pursue certification
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Knowledge of sterile technique, clinical workflows, pharmacy operations
- Ability to apply for additional state licensure as needed
