Your Role: Patient Financial Counselor

Youll be a key resource for patientshelping them understand costs, explore options, and feel confident about their care.

What Youll Do:

Estimate patient financial responsibility for services
Explain insurance coverage and benefits clearly
Set up payment plans and financial arrangements
Assist with billing questions, denials, and appeals
Support charity care applications
Work with insurance providers and third-party payors
Maintain accurate records and confidentiality (HIPAA)
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies

Schedule

• PRN / As Needed
• MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• No travel required

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Experience with medical billing or insurance (preferred)
• Knowledge of third-party billing (required)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Bonus Experience (Preferred)

• Hospital business office experience
• Meditech experience
• Medical terminology knowledge
• Cash handling experience
