Med/Surg Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Jobs – Locum Tenens Travel Assignment – Brevard, North Carolina

Estimated Weekly Salary Range
- Weekly Salary: $1,230 - $1,270 per week (estimated)
- Location: Brevard, North Carolina 28712
- Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Unit, Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg)
- Assignment Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
- Unit Size: 30 beds, 40+ healthcare staff
- EMR System: Cerner
- Active LPN or LVN license in North Carolina or compact state (required)
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills in IV starts, Foley catheter insertion, EKG monitoring, and wound care (preferred)
- Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based healthcare environment
- Deliver direct patient care on a 30-bed acute care Med/Surg unit
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs), Nursing Assistants (NAs), and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Perform clinical procedures: IV starts, Foley catheter placement, EKG monitoring, wound care
- Document patient care and interventions accurately in Cerner EMR
- Participate in daily team-based care meetings for patient treatment and discharge planning
- Float to Transitional Care Unit (TCU) as needed
- Comply with unit policies and dress code (navy blue scrubs)
