*WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY. *The Department of Communication invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position as Associate Teaching Professor of Communication and Director of the Marketing Communication Minor, effective Fall 2026.
*Qualifications*: A Master's degree in a relevant field and 5 years of teaching experience at university level is required; an earned terminal degree (Ph.D. or DBA) or ABD status is preferred. Qualified applicants will demonstrate their ability to teach courses in Marketing Communication. In addition, qualified applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in directing an academic program, with preference given to those who have had experience being the director of a degree program. All candidates should be able to show how they foster learning and growth for all stakeholders in an academic environment. Strong preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate engagement with current literature of the discipline and/or the practice of marketing communication.
*Position Summary*: This individual will be expected to teach courses (three courses per semester) in Marketing Communication at the undergraduate level, including advertising, PR, online and offline forms of communication, and consumer behavior. Most classes, if not all, will be delivered face-to-face at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. In addition, this individual will be expected to participate in departmental, College, and University service. At Wake Forest, teaching professors hold a renewable position with an initial appointment of two years. Teaching Professors are full members of the Wake Forest faculty, with full-time appointments and eligibility for promotion through the ranks of Assistant, Associate, and Full.
