Database Specialist
The Database Specialist has experience in non-profit development database entry. The ideal candidate will also be gifted with excellent computer skills; acute attention to detail; and the ability to multi-task. This candidate will join a team of four part-time, hard working individuals and will report to the Partner Relations Team Leader as well as the Director of Development.
Position Responsibilities
- Receive and manage information about donations from various sources.
- Accurately record donations in individual accounts of donors.
- Confirm that totals of cash and checks balance with Accounting records.
- Print thank you letters and receipts
- Fold and mail thank you letters and receipts.
- Record and provide receipts for Gifts-in-Kind.
- Send out email receipts as requested.
- Create accounts in Salesforce database for new donors.
- Research donations for accurate tracking and response.
- Edit/Update recurring donations in Raisedonors/Site Stacker as needed.
- Answer phone and email inquiries regarding donations.
- Record contact information changes including marking someone deceased.
- Investigate mail returned by the post office.
- Provide requested notifications when a donor gives in honor or in memory.
- Work closely with the JAARS Supported Staff Team.
