Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks a Special Education Teacher to support an inclusion classroom for the 2025-2026 school year at an elementary school setting. The position focuses on Grades K-6 and specifically includes some responsibilities with sixth grade students. The caseload will be approximately 15 students, providing specialized instructional support in a part-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support within an inclusion classroom prised of students with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement acmodations and modifications as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation to inform instructional adjustments and reporting.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of functional goals and behavioral plans.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary age students, K-6, including embedded sixth grade responsibilities.
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 15 students with varied learning needs.
• Strong munication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, families, and support staff.

Position Details:

• Location: Louisburg, North Carolina.
• Schedule: Part-time, approximately 10-15 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Hours: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, onsite only.
• Contract Type: Contract to hire for the 2025-2026 school year.
