Transportation Technician II/Inspector I

This opportunity entails being responsible for conducting on-site construction inspections for projects supporting our clients. Provides inspection services for compliance with plans and specifications, prepares required contract documentation, and follows prescribed Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures.
What You'll Do:
Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.
Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform rudimentary mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
Assists in on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 1 year of construction experience.
All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.
What You'll Bring:
Reads and understands plans and specifications.
Recognizes, documents, and escalates field issues.
Calculates pay quantities.
Understands change conditions.
Understands Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills at an intermediate level.
What We Prefer:
Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology
Associate degree in Construction Management
