System Administrator

Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a Contract with a client in Raleigh NC/Phoenix AZ. You will be responsible for administering and troubleshooting enterprise storage systems, including HPE Primera, NetApp ONTAP, PURE Storage, and Hitachi VSP.

Rate Range: $47/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

System Administrator job responsibilities include:

• Administer and manage enterprise storage systems including HPE Primera, NetApp ONTAP, PURE Storage FlashArray, and Hitachi VSP for space allocation, host integration, and performance optimization.

• Perform storage provisioning and troubleshooting for SAN/NAS environments using protocols such as FC, iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS.

• Coordinate with vendors to resolve critical issues, perform upgrades, and ensure system reliability.

• Execute storage migrations and replication activities (TSM, TrueCopy, HUR) and manage disaster recovery drills for both block and NAS storage arrays.

• Monitor and analyze storage performance using tools like Hitachi Tuning Manager and Performance Reporter, ensuring optimal system health.

• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash) for routine tasks and maintain HORCM/CCI scripts for replication management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise storage administration and backup solutions.

• Strong expertise in managing and troubleshooting HPE Primera, NetApp ONTAP, PURE Storage FlashArray, and Hitachi VSP systems.

• Proven experience with SAN/NAS protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS) and disaster recovery replication technologies (TrueCopy, HUR, SI).

Pay Details: $47.00 to $49.00 per hour
