Job Description:

Addison Group is partnering with our client to hire an Accounting Manager who will oversee day-to-day accounting workflows and support leadership with monthly close activities. This role is fully on-site and offers the opportunity to guide a small team while contributing to process improvements and systems optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily accounting activity, including oversight of AP, AR, and general transaction processing
• Supervise a team of four and provide coaching, support, and performance guidance
• Assist with payroll coordination and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
• Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations with accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and post recurring journal entries and support month-end close deliverables
• Contribute to the preparation of internal financial reports
• Collaborate across multiple business lines and adapt to shifting priorities
• Participate in system upgrades, ERP-related improvements, or process redesign initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior construction industry exposure preferred but not mandatory
• Strong understanding of core accounting functions, month-end close, and GL management
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; Associate degree considered with relevant experience
• Early to mid-career candidates encouraged—seeking someone still growing professionally, not overly senior
• Previous team leadership required; experience with system implementations or ERP transitions a plus
• Comfortable working across multiple departments and handling varied operational needs
• Solid technical aptitude and proficiency with accounting software and Excel
